As an AV company based in Maidenhead, we do not get featured in the trade press every week, so having a story like this one picked up and given proper space is something we genuinely appreciate.
Thank you as well to everyone who reached out after the news went live. Every message helped made the day feel like what it actually was, which is a milestone worth marking.
Why We Did This
Squaredot is a UK-based interior design consultancy built around strategic, evidence-led workplace design, and bringing that expertise into SPOR Group is about broadening what we can offer, not just adding a logo to our website. The two businesses share overlapping expertise, overlapping experience and, in some cases, overlapping clients, across workplace technology, interior design and audiovisual environments. Put together properly, that combination lets us support organisations across the UK and Europe with a wider, more joined-up service than either business could offer on its own.
Same Team, Some New Titles
Installation International also covers all this and what we said in our original post but Squaredot stays exactly where it is, working out of its existing base in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, and Kris Krokosz continues as managing director alongside David Kramer, business consultant. The acquisition also opens up our Maidenhead office to the Squaredot team, for the moments when that makes sense, without asking anyone to relocate. On our side, co-founder Chris Gore is taking on a new role as group strategic director, focused on developing the combined business and finding the opportunities that come from having design and technology expertise under one roof.
Who We're Already Working With
Squaredot's client list gives a good sense of the range we are now able to draw on, including CBRE, SCC, Bristol & Bath Science Park, CareCo, Kimberly-Clark in Madrid, Manchester Airports Group and Savills in Birmingham. Those relationships, and the specialist knowledge behind them, are exactly what Kris pointed to when the news broke: existing clients keep the same expertise they already trust, with more resources and opportunities behind it.
Looking Ahead
Chris put it well when he said our focus has always been on helping organisations get more from their workplace technology, not simply installing equipment, and that combining SPOR Group's strengths with Squaredot's gives us a stronger platform to build on. We agree, and we are looking forward to showing what that actually looks like in practice over the coming months, rather than trying to describe it all today.
