Why This Feature Matters

Getting recognised for what you do and why it matters takes more than a good website and a decent LinkedIn post. So when an independent technology publication picks you out from the noise and asks to feature you — you take note.

SPOR Group has been named Startup of the Week by TechRound, one of the UK's leading technology and startup publications. The feature covers who we are, what we do, and why the problem we are solving actually matters right now.

TechRound covers the UK startup and technology landscape and has a readership of over 300,000 monthly visitors. Their Startup of the Week slot is reserved for companies doing something genuinely different — not just another product launch or rebrand.

For SPOR, the recognition is a reflection of a shift happening across the AV integration industry. The conversation is moving away from installation and towards long-term performance. From reactive firefighting to proactive management. From guesswork to data.

That is exactly what SPOR was built to do.

What the Feature Covers

The TechRound article covers three areas that we are asked about constantly by IT Directors, Facilities Managers, and Workplace Technology leads:

•       How SPOR was founded and the gap in the market it was built to fix

•       What makes SPOR's approach different — specifically SPORTrack, our remote monitoring platform

•       Why the market for reliable, proactively managed meeting room technology is only going in one direction

The Problem With AV Integration as It Has Always Been Done

Most AV integrators follow the same model. Design the system, install the kit, hand over the manual, and move on to the next job. What happens after that is largely not their problem.

For the organisations left managing those rooms — that is where everything falls apart. Rooms fail. IT teams get flooded with complaints. No one has visibility across the estate. And the standard response is to wait for something to break before fixing it.

Hybrid working made this worse. When people can dial into a meeting from home with a reliable setup, they have zero tolerance for a conference room that does not work. The bar is higher than it has ever been, and the gap between expectation and reality is costing organisations real time and real money.

SPOR was built specifically to close that gap.

How SPORTrack Changes the Picture

SPORTrack is SPOR's remote monitoring platform. It gives IT and facilities teams real-time visibility across their entire AV estate — not a monthly report, not a logged complaint, but live, by-the-second data on what is working and what is not.

Issues get spotted before they become meeting failures. Problems are fixed remotely, often before anyone in the room is even aware there was one. And over time, the data tells you where your investment needs to go next — not based on gut feeling, but on actual performance evidence.

That shift from reactive to proactive is what the TechRound feature picks up on. And it is the thing that makes the biggest difference to our clients.

Who This Is For

If you are responsible for meeting room technology across a multi-site estate — whether you are an IT Director, a Head of Facilities, or a Workplace Technology lead — the challenges covered in this feature are probably familiar.

Rooms that fail at the worst possible moment. No single view across your estate. A support model that is always catching up rather than staying ahead. These are not edge cases. They are the industry standard. And they do not have to be.
