Hardware
For complete functionality a Windows Server with the following minimum specification is required:
1.8Ghz CPU
4GB RAM
20GB Storage Space
Windows Server 2008
.NET 3.5 SP1
SPOR AV can provide appropriate pre-configured server hardware on request at additional cost
Networking
Two dedicated network connections in the room
Both network connections must have a network route back to the Windows Server
One network connection must be internet capable for conferencing and appropirate QoS must be enabled
SPOR AV can supply pre-configured networking hardware and networking infrastructure on request at additional cost
Electrical
16A 230V Isolated Feed.
All circuits will be fed from the same phase and distribution board and will be for the sole use of Audio Visual equipment.
A second feed of 13A 230V on a separate phase must be provided for Motorised Projection Screens when applicable.
Containment
Audio Visual cabling routes must be isolated from electrical routes by no less that 1m and may only cross at 90 degrees to each other.
Containment provided for Audio Visual cablings must be reserved for this sole purpose.
Lighting
All indirect florescent lighting fixture should be capable of providing even illumination without shadows.
A lamp colour temperature of 3500 Kelvin is recommended.
External light sources from windows, or non-opaque walls or ceilings should be reduced as much as possible during system usage to keep lighting consistent.
Any overspill light present at the display surface must be less than 200 Lux.
For systems with video conferencing:
The light levels at participants should be: 350-550 Lux, with a 1.5:1 uniformity ratio observed across all due participant faces.
The light levels on the walls should be: 220-240 Lux, with a 1.5:1 uniformity ratio observed across wall surfaces located behind due participants. Wall light level uniformity should be achieved between 700mm and 1800mm above the observed floor.
Lighting colour temperature should be between 3500-3800 Kelvin
Acoustics
Ambient noise levels should not exceed 40dB A-weighted in room with conferencing capabilities.
All rooms containing Audio Visual equipment should be constructed to NR-30 noise rating.
Acoustic wall treatments should be implemented for at least one wall in each room with Audio Visual equipment.
Maximum reverb time (RT60) should not exceed 0.35 seconds.
Consideration should be taken for acoustical insulation for adjoining rooms.
Environmental and Furniture
All tables must have access from below the table surface to above the table surface for presentation of Audio Visual cabling.
For any Audio Visual equipment to be installed in enclosed furniture (e.g. table podiums, enclosed table legs, credenzas, cupboards, etc) must have sufficient ventilation to maintain an internal temperature of a maximum of 22 degrees centigrade while the equipment is in use and the equipment must remain accessible at all times.
